Another Blues youngster is set to receive a new deal after impressing in first team training.
Reports in the Danish press say that youngster Andreas Christensen is set to be offered a new deal by Chelsea.
Danish paper BT have quotes from the 18-year-old’s father, who says that an updated contract is imminent:
“It is true that we had a meeting Tuesday,” Christensen’s father Sten told the press.
“We are in a positive dialogue with Chelsea, but I don’t want to say any more. It is a matter to be dealt with internally with Chelsea.”
Christensen has been training with Chelsea’s first team regularly this term, and made an impressive debut in the Capital One cup against Shrewsbury.
The Danish U21 international signed for the Blues on a free transfer in 2012.
Several clubs across Europe are said to be keen to bring the youngster in on loan.
