Less than a year after leaving Newcastle United for a bigger club, the striker could be on his way back for the season.
Chelsea have offered Demba Ba to his old club Newcastle United on a season-long loan.
The catch? The Daily Mail claim that Chelsea are demanding a £2m fee.
Newcastle have responded by offering £1m, as they desperately search for a way to get the goals flowing again at St. James’ Park. Chelsea have stated that for a fee of £10m they would accept a permanent transfer.

Newcastle have only managed one shot on target in their opening two games of the season as they collapsed 4-0 to Manchester City and stuttered to a 0-0 draw with West Ham United.
Manager Alan Pardew has said himself that Demba Ba is still the missing component from their team following his transfer for £7m to Chelsea in the January transfer window of last season.
With Yohan Cabaye looking closer to leaving the club as the days go by, Newcastle will need to act seriously fast lest they enter September in even poorer shape than they currently find themselves.
