Manchester City and Chelsea set to make huge bids for Atletico Madrid forward Radamel Falcao.
Chelsea and Manchester City are amongst a number of clubs readying their cheque books as Atletico Madrid have confirmed Radamel Falcao may leave this summer.
The news was revealed by Sky Sports journalist Guillem Balague, and with mere weeks to go until the transfer window officially opens, Falcao will be one of the hottest properties on the market.

The 27 year-old has scored a preposterous 70 goals in 90 Atletico Madrid appearances, and prior to that managed 72 in 87 matches for FC Porto, and players able to find the net with such impressive regularity are rare.
And expensive.
Falcao’s status as one of the best goalscorers in Europe puts his asking price through the roof, and his £54 million release clause may have to be met to entice him away from Atleti.
Given that the biggest title the Colombia international has won is the UEFA Europa League with both Porto and Atletico Madrid, Falcao will want to win league titles and compete for the UEFA Champions League title with his next club.
As such, only a select few elite European clubs will be able to challenge for his signature – although AS Monaco are also reportedly keen.
