Now his agent Victor Kolar has revealed that his client has had talks with Spanish giants Real Madrid over a potential move to the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu.
“We’ve been in contact with Real Madrid, but they don’t need a keeper just now,” Kolar was quoted by the Daily Star.
“It’s unlikely Petr will leave Chelsea in the January transfer window. The club and coach want to keep him to help win the title.
“Petr still has the ambition to play as many matches as possible. But it’s impossible now.”
Los Blancos aren’t the only club to have shown interest in Cech, with the Blues’ Premier League rivals Arsenal and Liverpool also considering moves for the Czech Republic international.
There is also further interest from abroad, with AS Roma, Atletico Madrid and Besiktas keeping a close eye on the situation.
Since Courtois became Jose Mourinho’s preferred No.1 over the summer Cech has managed eight appearances in all competitions.
