Belgian goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois currently on loan at Atletico Madrid from Chelsea, has discussed the possibility of a potential move to La Liga leaders Real Madrid in the summer, reports the Daily Mail.
The 21-year-old has been superb for Atletico this season, establishing his reputation as one of the very best stoppers in the business.
Chelsea already have top quality keeper Petr Cech in goal at Stamford Bridge though, and could be willing to cash in on Courtois in the summer.
The super talented keeper though has played down a potential move to Real Madrid though, and hinted that he could stay at the Premier League club beyond this summer.
“I don’t know. Those are rumours. What I know is that I have a contract with Atletico until June and then two more years at Chelsea,” he said.
“If any offer comes in, Chelsea will decide if they want to let me go. I don’t think that will be the case. For now, there are only two teams to me: Atletico and Chelsea.”
Chelsea signed Courtois two and half seasons ago, but he has been sent on loan to Spain every season.
Manager Jose Mourinho has a difficult decision to make in the summer, whether to bring Courtois back to compete for the no.1 spot with Cech, or sell the Belgian.
