Chelsea are believed to be preparing a £60m spending spree on their three top summer transfer targets – Christian Benteke, Giannelli Imbula and Toby Alderweireld.
Blues boss Jose Mourinho admitted on Tuesday that he is looking to add a defender, a midfielder and a striker to his Premier League title-winning squad for next season.
Aston Villa target man Benteke, who has been linked with both Manchester United and Liverpool, is believed to be viewed as the ideal replacement for outgoing hero Didier Drogba.

The Daily Star cites ESPN as claiming that Chelsea is ready to sanction a £32m bid for the Belgian, which would apparently trigger his release clause with the West Midlands outfit.
Atletico Madrid defender Alderweireld is also on Mourinho’s shortlist. The Belgian spent last season in England on loan at Southampton and could be available for a bargain £7m.
Tottenham Hotspur are apparently monitoring Alderweireld, as well as Imbula, and the Marseille midfielder could have the choice of the two London rivals as the Blues are said to be preparing a £20m offer.
