Blues eyeing £5m-rated Saido Berahino.
Chelsea are ready to make a shock January move for Manchester United’s tormentor Saido Berahino, according to the Metro.
Berahino, a former refugee from Burundi, has established himself as a key player for the Baggies after bagging five goals in six matches, including the winner against Manchester United at Old Trafford.
The 20-year-old, who also netted against Arsenal in the League Cup, is seen as a huge talent for the future but currently earns just £850-a-week at the Hawthorns.
West Brom are currently in talks with the forward but Chelsea are preparing to pounce and are willing to offer £5m for the youngster and significantly increase Berahino’s wages.
The Blues have already landed West Brom wonderkid Isaiah Brown, who made the switch to Stamford Bridge last summer after becoming the youngest player to appear in the English top flight.
