Thibaut Courtois – 6/10
Commanded his box well. Didn’t have to make many saves to keep his third consecutive Premier League clean sheet.
Branislav Ivanovic – 6/10
Slightly fortunate not to get booked, having spent a significant portion of the first half kicking his opponents, but a decent performance nevertheless. Robust as ever.
John Terry – 7.5/10
Orchestrated another resolute Chelsea defensive display. The former England captain takes a lot of pride in keeping shutouts and his commitment to the cause is infectious.
Gary Cahill – 7/10
Cahill assisted Terry gamely in keeping Arsenal at bay.
Cesar Azpilicueta – 7.5/10
Having missed out on a place in the Premier League Team of the Year, Azpilicueta showed just why many were outraged at his omission. He produced yet another above-average display. Has he ever played badly?
Nemanja Matic – 7.5/10
Matic won today. Unfortunately, as a consequence, football lost. The Serbian international bossed the midfield and did all he could to keep the game tight, as Chelsea played for a 0-0.
