DMC: Nemanja Matic – 7/10
Turned very easily by Naismith in the build-up to Everton’s first goal, but made amends with a brutal long-range strike which brought the Blues back in the contest. Good to see that side of his game.
DMC: John Obi Mikel – 6/10
Selected to shore up Chelsea’s midfield, and yet the visitors found themselves two-nil down within 22 minutes. That said, it could have been worse had it not been for a couple of interventions from Mikel.
AMC: Cesc Fabregas – 4/10
Another desperately disappointing performance from the Spaniard. Barely had a kick in the first half, and his lack of impact on the game was evidenced by Mourinho substituting him in his chase for a goal.
AML: Eden Hazard – 7/10
Tried his best to reenergise the Blues after their shocking start, and got some joy in a 15-minute spell prior to the interval as he drifted freely, but could not have the same impact in the second half.
