AMC: Oscar – 8/10
A penalty to end the first half sent the Blues into the locker room in very high spirits.
AML: Eden Hazard – 6/10
That penalty kick would’ve missed if the goal were twice as high. Hazard was off target, and off colour.
ST: Loic Remy – 7/10
Kept the Maccabi defence off-balance all game, but Remy never took a shot and conceded four fouls.
Substitutes
Diego Costa – 7/10
After taking over from Willian midway through the second half, Costa proved inaccurate, was caught offside plenty, and could have seriously injured someone with a bicycle kick. But a goal is a goal.
