CM: Nemanja Matic – 8/10
Without Matic, Chelsea would have been totally overrun in midfield.
CM: Cesc Fabregas – 7/10
The former Arsenal skipper is usually Chelsea’s main source of creativity, but today he showed off his defensive ability – making seven tackles (no other player on the pitch made more).
AM: Willian – 7/10
Smashed the crossbar and worried Sunderland’s defence with some positive jinking dribbles.
