Samuel Eto’o – 7/10
Samuel Eto’o may have failed to get on the scoresheet, but the Cameroonian forward provided critical contributions for two of Chelsea’s goals, first playing a glorious flick to Eden Hazard, and later winning a penalty.
Substitutes:
Demba Ba – 6/10
Demba Ba worked very hard, as he always does, and gave Chelsea a physical presence up front for the remaining minutes of the game once Samuel Eto’o had tired. He doesn’t quite have the quality needed of a top class centre forward though, and will likely depart in the summer – but potentially with a Premier League winner’s medal.
Mohamed Salah – 6/10
Only touched the ball ten times in his twelve minutes on the pitch, but showed his directness with two shots on goal.
Andre Schurrle – 5/10
Only came on with five minutes remaining so that Eden Hazard could receive a standing ovation. Was slightly wayward with the few passes he had.
