Had a surprising amount of work to do against an ambitious Hull outfit, and did so with consummate ease. Cech made one save in particular from a close range header in the second half, before goals from Eden Hazard and Fernando Torres sealed the game.
- 28 Cesar Azpilicueta – 5
Although he was playing on his favoured right-hand side, Azpilicueta did not look as assured and exciting as he did when he was deployed on the left of a back four at the start of the season. Rarely got forward to support Willian ahead of him, too.
