Delivered some really dangerous set-piece deliveries, one of which ended up in Andre Schurrle’s opener. Tired in the second, and was withdrawn when Chelsea needed to search for a winning goal.
MC) David Luiz – 8
Snapped, and harried in the middle, denying Marco Verratti time on the ball in the first-half. Won possession back on countless occasions, and provided a superb platform from which the team could perform. Courageous.
AMR) Willian – 8
The Brazilian’s touch and skill is only matched by his endless work-rate. He consistently showed this all evening – and although his end product was not quite good enough, Willian’s decision making was outstanding.
