Chelsea boss makes surprise revelation about Champions League exit
GK: Thibaut Courtois – 6
Made a shocking error in the first half to gift Hull their equaliser by practically passing the ball straight to Abel Hernandez, but made up for it with a brilliant triple save in the second half.
RB: Branislav Ivanovic – 5
A disappointing defensive display from the Serbian who was involved in the mix-up for Hull’s equaliser and stopped very little getting into the box.
CB: Gary Cahill – 5
His game wasn’t helped by an early booking, meaning he backed out of risky challenges. Having said that he showed a few decent blocks and clearances.
CB: John Terry – 7
A typically full-blooded performance from the Chelsea captain, leaving everything out on the field and leading his side to steal a second half victory.
LB: Filipe Luis – 6
Came in as a replacement for Azpilicueta and performed reasonably well without ever being outstanding. Defended well and contributed to Chelsea’s attack.
