Was a victim of Hull’s frustrating midfield which got in the way of Matic playing the game he wanted to when he should have risen above it.
MC: Ramires – 5 (Oscar 61′)
Disappointing from Ramires who offered very little in either attack or defence and generally curtailed his side’s creativity when they needed it most to break down Hull.
MC: Cesc Fabregas – 7
Not at his brilliant best, but even when he isn’t, the Spain international is still a top talent who can change games with a pass. Contributed to their victory and will be reasonably pleased with his personal showing.
