Chelsea’s 20-year old attacking midfielder Lucas Piazon is unsure of his future at Stamford Bridge despite impressing on loan at Dutch side Vitesse Arnhem, reports the Express.
The highly rated Brazilian is back at Chelsea after his year long loan spell during which he netted 11 goals in 29 games, and is now set to hold showdown talks with Jose Mourinho over his future.
Piazon has a battle on his hands to become even a squad player for the Blues as they have an abundance of international stars vying for a place in his preferred positions. The likes of Andre Schurrle, Eden Hazard, Oscar, Willian and Cesc Fabregas are all capable of playing in the attacking midfield position, thus leaving no space for the Blues’ academy graduate.
Piazon admits that the going is set to be tough at Stamford Bridge and has hinted that he might even decide to quit the club in order to progress further. He told Chelsea’s official website, “I don’t know what is going to happen but at the moment I’m really happy to be here. I will play in pre-season until we make a decision and I will try to do what’s the best thing for me.”
