Mata says no-one has told him Mourinho wants him to leave Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea star Juan Mata has dismissed reports that new boss Jose Mourinho is ready to offload him this summer.
The playmaker was the Blues player of the year and enjoyed a tremendous season in west London, scoring 20 goals and providing a staggering 35 assists in all competitions this term.
But Spanish daily Marca claimed last week that new Blues head-coach Mourinho was ready to offload the Spain international this summer to raise funds for new recruits.
Real Madrid are said to be interested in the 25-year-old but Mata has shrugged off the reports and says he is very happy at Stamford Bridge.
“Nobody at Chelsea has told me that Mourinho wants me out,” he told Marca.
“When I finished the season I was told that they were very happy with my performances and with the two years I’ve spent with the club. I have three years left on my contract. I’m very happy with Chelsea.
Unlike some of Chelsea’s senior players, former Valencia star Mata has never worked with Mourinho before and says he will judge the Portuguese when he has spent some time working under him.
“Mourinho? I’d prefer to wait until I meet him and work with him before I judge him. That’s simple logic.”
