Jose Mourinho wants to bring France star back to England.
Chelsea are prepared to break their transfer record to bring Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba to Stamford Bridge, according to the Daily Star.
The Blues are apparently willing to pay Juve £60m for the 21-year-old, who moved to Turin on a free transfer from Manchester United in July 2012.
Fernando Torres, who cost £50m when he was signed from Liverpool in January 2011, is currently Chelsea’s most expensive signing.
Since leaving United, Pogba has gone on to become one of the best midfielders in the world, playing a starring role in back-to-back Serie A triumphs with Juve.
He scored seven goals and provided seven assists in 36 league games last season.
Right now, he is in Brazil with France’s national team for the FIFA World Cup.
Pogba has featured in all three of France’s games at the tournament so far.
He could well be keen on a move to Chelsea. He was recently pictured managing the Blues on Football Manager on his laptop.
On the computer game, he bought himself and played alongside Frank Lampard in a 4-2-3-1 formation.
