According to CaughtOffside, the Blues boss could make a shock move to sign Radamel Falcao when his loan deal at Old Trafford expires, with the AS Monaco man unlikely to complete a permanent switch to the club after a poor first season in the Premier League.
The Colombian international has only managed four goals all season long, looking a shadow of his former self, but it seems Chelsea could be ready to offer him another chance in the English game.
Falcao has previously been regarded as one of the best players in the world, and could prove a useful squad player for the Blues next term as doubts remain over the future of veteran forward Drogba.
Meanwhile, Diego Costa and Loic Remy have both had injury problems, leaving the club overly reliant on Drogba, 37, to lead the line.
