Chelsea are planning to make an incredible double swoop on John Stones and Paul Pogba before the closure of the summer transfer window, according to reports.
Blues boss Jose Mourinho is looking to get his side’s title defence back on track following a poor start and completed the signings of Pedro and Baba Rahman this week.
According to Daily Star, Chelsea are set to splash £40m on Everton centre-back John Stones and will sign Juventus ace Paul Pogba should the Premier League champions be able to snare him for £60m.
Roman Abramovich is believed to be keen to spend after seeing his side pick up just one point from its opening two games and concede five goals against Swansea City and Manchester City.
Should Chelsea sign Pogba for £60m, it would smash the club record transfer fee after the Blues spent £50m on Liverpool striker Fernando Torres in 2011.
