AMC: Eden Hazard
The Belgian is yet to explode into form under Mourinho but there remain few more naturally gifted attacking midfielders in Europe. With Juan Mata again likely to be sidelined by Mourinho, Hazard will be tasked with stretching the Spurs back four with probing passes and clever runs. If Danny Rose isn’t passed fit, the 22-year will fancy his chances against deputy Kyle Naughton.
AMC: Oscar
With Mata out of favour, Brazilian Oscar will again take up the coveted number 10 role in the Blues’ line up. The youngster is among the clever players in the Premier League and netted against Spurs last season. But he’ll have to use all his intricacy on Saturday afternoon, with Mousa Dembele, Paulinho and Sandro three of the most powerful midfield opponents he’ll face this season.
AMC: Andre Schurrle
Mata, Kevin de Bruyne or Willian may all join Oscar and Hazard in the trio behind the striker but summer signing Schurrle seems the most likely bet. The German international boasts pace, a wonderful shot and great vision and could worry Spurs back four with his ability to cut inside from the left flank.
