The Brazilian could be dropped following dour midweek performance…
Team news:
Jose Mourinho may make a few changes following Chelsea’s miserable midweek Champions League performance against FC Basel.
Oscar was hauled off before the hour mark, and could make way for German wing-forward Andre Schurrle against the Saints if his Portuguese boss is feeling particularly ruthless – though Mourinho has been quite vocal in his support for the Brazilian in the number ten role ahead of Juan Mata.
Eden Hazard has been the Blues’ most creative outlet this season, creating more chances than any other Stamford Bridge player, and it can safely be assumed he will start from the left, in front of a midfield trio of Frank Lampard, Ramires, and anchorman John Obi Mikel.
Fernando Torres is set to start up top ahead of the injured Samuel Eto’o, with Demba Ba on the bench.
