The Blues want Forest’s Darlow as Cech’s understudy.
In a move that will surprise many Chelsea are lining up a move for Nottingham Forest goalkeeper Karl Darlow to act as an understudy to Petr Cech, according to the Mirror.

The 23-year-old has been impressing at the City Ground this season after becoming the preferred No.1 at the club in the second half of the 2012/13 campaign.
Yet now the Blues want Darlow as they look to meet their homegrown quota and replace the aging figures of Hilario and Mark Schwarzer at Stamford Bridge.
Both Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur have also shown interest in the Englishman, but it is the west Londoners who have stepped up their interest – leading to doubt over the future of Thibaut Courtois at the club.
The 21-year-old is about to complete his third year on-loan with Atletico Madrid this term, where the Belgium international has become recognised as one of the best stoppers in the world in a team constantly improving under Diego Simeone.
However, despite being 10 years Cech’s junior and a huge prospect for the future, Jose Mourinho is going to keep the Czech Republic international between the sticks and therefore presumably sell Courtois.
This is because the Belgian has insisted he will not spent another year on-loan and therefore wants to be part of the team at the Bridge, or be sold – with Atletico understandably keen to complete the deal.
