The Blues want to bring in Felipe and Tiago as well as Costa.
It seems as though Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has not had enough joy by signing Spanish champions Atletico Madrid’s ace striker Diego Costa.
The Portuguese manager now hopes to land Felipe Luis and former Blues midfielder Tiago too by the end of this weekend, after having opened talks with Atletico, according to the Mirror.
Mourinho feels the need to strengthen his left-back position, as well as in central midfield, ahead of next season and believes that the likes of Felipe and Tiago will fit well in his system.
The Brazilian in particular has been impressive for the Los Rojiblancos last season, playing an integral part in helping the side to achieve the best defensive record in La Liga and the 28-year-old’s immense work-rate both up and down the pitch makes him the perfect signing for the 51-year-old.
Tiago too has been very good for Atleti this past 12 months and his flair as well as work-rate makes him a worthy addition to the squad following the exit of 35-year old veteran Frank Lampard this summer.
