Neither Schurrle or Salah has made much of an impression under Jose Mourinho since the 51-year-old’s return to Stamford Bridge in the summer of 2013.
The 2014 World Cup winner had already agreed a deal to join the Blues from Bayer Leverkusen before Mourinho took charge and has failed to establish himself in the starting XI ever since.
Salah meanwhile was an £11m signing from FC Basel in January 2014, but 12 months on from the Egypt international’s move and he is a periphery player at best.
It is the 22-year-old that Mourinho is most keen to move on, with AS Roma, Besiktas and Hull City all believed to be interested.
The Portuguese coach is a big admirer of hardworking players and Cuadrado would fit that bill perfectly and would also be able to take some of the pressure off Eden Hazard and Willian on the wings.
