Chelsea will continue its chase of Juventus star Paul Pogba, according to reports.
The Blues have endured a below-par start to its title defence this season, with Jose Mourinho’s side picking up just one win in its opening three matches.
Mourinho is believed to be keen to further bolster his side before the end of the transfer window despite completing the signings of Radamel Falcao, Baba Rahman and Pedro this summer.
According to London Evening Standard, the Blues are keen to pursue a British-record £70m deal for Pogba an attempt to strenghthen in midfield.
The addition of Pogba would certainly be a game-changer in the chase for the Premier League title, with the French international considered to be one of the best young talents in world football.
London Evening Standard suggests that the midfield duo of Nemanja Matic and Cesc Fabregas are not mobile enough to protect the back four in a 4-2-3-1 formation, and Pogba incredible physical attributes would certainly provide the Blues with another dimension in the midfield.
Pogba’s technical ability is second-to-none, and it’s easy to see why Chelsea are prepared to break the bank to bring the former Manchester United man to Stamford Bridge.
