Chelsea have received a boost in its chase for Everton defender John Stones with the Toffees reportedly nearing a deal for Juventus centre-back Angelo Ogbonna.

Ogbonna has been a key transfer target for new West Ham United boss Slaven Bilic, however, The Sun reports Everton manager Roberto Martinez is keen is bringing the Italian international to Goodison Park.
According to the report, Everton are planning an £11m move for the 27-year-old and could tee up a deal as early as this week.
The move raises questions over the future of highly-rated defender John Stones, with Chelsea believed to keen in his services.
Stones has been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge this summer and could be an ideal long-term replacement for Blues skipper John Terry.
Metro reported in May that Chelsea were weighing up a £30m move for the 21-year-old, and it now seems the transfer could be back on.
Despite Stones’ obvious qualities, Martinez could use a mammoth transfer fee to further boost his squad for the upcoming season.
