Swansea forward targeted by Chelsea and City
Both Chelsea and Manchester City sent scouts to watch Swansea City forward Wilfried Bony during the Welsh side’s 4-1 hammering by Liverpool.
The Daily Mail reports the Blues chief European scout, Mick Doherty, was in the stands to see the Ivorian in action at Anfield and that the West London side could see Bony as a long-term replacement for club legend Didier Drogba.
However, a January move is unlikely with Jose Mourinho’s side well stocked for strikers with Diego Costa, Drogba and Loic Remy all available.
