Club in discussions to buy League Two stadium
Chelsea are in talks with AFC Wimbledon over the prospect of buying their ground, subject to the League Two side getting planning permission to build a new stadium.
Wimbledon have played all their matches at Kingsmeadow since their formation in 2002 but are looking to build a new stadium near Plough lane.
The Guardian reports that the deal between the two clubs would see Wimbledon still play at Kingsmeadow whilst their new ground is built with Chelsea playing youth and women’s matches there too.
