Monday’s biggest stories for the Blues.
Real Madrid targeting Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois
Los Blancos’ pursuit of a long-term replacement for captain Iker Casillas has already seen them target Manchester United’s David de Gea and now they want Courtois, according to the Daily Star.
Casillas’ position at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu has become increasingly insecure over the past 18 months and the Spain international was at fault for Atletico Madrid’s opener in Madrid’s 4-0 humiliation in La Liga on Saturday.
Courtois is known well in the Spanish capital after spending three successful years on-loan with Atleti and Carlo Ancelotti is hoping to tempt the Belgian back to the city.
