QPR striker Loic Remy is lined up as a shock alternative to Drogba
If the club’s worst fears are realised and the Ivorian faces a lengthy spell out of action, they will turn to Remy for help, reports Goal.
Drogba’s absence would leave Mourinho with only Diego Costa and Fernando Torres as options upfront and the 51-year-old is keeping tabs on the Hoops forward as a result.
Liverpool were close to signing Remy for £8m before the France international failed his medical at Anfield, whilst Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur have also shown interest.
