Everton close in on permanent move for Lukaku

Everton are making progress in their efforts to sign Belgian youngster Romelu Lukaku on a permanent deal from Chelsea, according to the Daily Telegraph.

The 21-year-old had an impressive spell on loan at Goodison Park last season and it could still be that he will join on a temporary basis again, though the Toffees hope to secure him on a permanent basis.

Atletico Madrid have also been linked with the talented young striker, but the player himself has seemingly held positive talks with Everton manager Roberto Martinez.
