Man Utd rival Chelsea for Serie A centre-back
Manchester United look set to step up their interest in AS Roma defender and reported Chelsea target Mehdi Benatia, according to the Daily Express.
The Moroccan international is also being targeted by Real Madrid after emerging as one of Europe’s best defenders last season with his rock-solid displays for Rudi Garcia’s side in Serie A.
Chelsea are keen on signing a new defender after the departure of David Luiz, but may still be considering other options in that position.
