Petr Cech’s Blues future in doubt by Mourinho wants him to stay

With Thibaut Courtois returning to Stamford Bridge this summer after three years of success on-loan with Atleti there was always likely to be rumours of Cech’s exit.

They have since increased as Mourinho opted to play Courtois ahead of the Czech Republic international in their league opener, but the 51-year-old still wants the veteran goalkeeper to stay.

“I hope Petr doesn’t want to go and I hope he doesn’t have offers to go and, if he does have offers, he refuses to go,” the Portuguese boss was quoted by BBC Sport.
