Star man
Eden Hazard won multiple Player of the Year awards, including those from the PFA and the FWA. He deserved high acclaim, having scored 14 Premier League goals and racked up nine assists. However, the real star of the show was John Terry. The Blues skipper, played every minute of Chelsea’s title-winning campaign, helping the Blues keep 17 clean sheets along the way.

Young Player of the Year
Chelsea’s kids had an incredible campaign, winning the UEFA Youth League and the FA Youth Cup. However, the only player aged under 21 to get a decent amount of first-team action was Kurt Zouma, who played 15 Premier League games, impressing in defence and midfield.

Weak link
There wasn’t one, really. Chelsea’s first XI is pretty damn sensational.
Chelsea’s problem was their lack of squad depth, particularly up front. When Costa was absent, the Blues attack was much less potent, and they had to rely on their steal spine to grind out results, leading to jibes of them being boring in the second half of the season.
Drogba and Remy scored just 11 league goals between them. If Mourinho can bring in another top-class striker to compete with Costa next season, another Premier League title would almost certainly follow.
