The Welshman is seemingly one of the Blues’ main priorities for the next transfer window after a difficult campaign in La Liga and struggles to live up to his £85m price tag at the Bernabeu.
Bale has previously been regarded as one of the best players in the world after some superb form for Tottenham Hotspur in his first spell in the Premier League, and he made a bright start to life in Spain last season, scoring key goals in both finals as they won the Champions League and the Copa Del Rey.
Chelsea could certainly benefit from a player of Bale’s quality in their side, with January signing Juan Cuadrado performing poorly since joining the club from Fiorentina in the winter, and with some doubts over Oscar’s future amid rumours if interest from Juventus and Liverpool.
