Arsenal and Manchester United are also thought to be chasing the German World Cup winner, but with the La Liga giants thought to be keen on the Blues’ Brazilian midfielder Chelsea should have the edge.
Khedira’s contract is up at the end of the season, so Carlo Ancelotti will be hoping to get something for him in January rather than losing him for nothing. If they can secure his replacement immediately then it may be too good of an offer to turn down.
The Real Madrid manager is known to be fond of the combative Chelsea midfielder, with Ramires actually signing for the Premier League side when Ancelotti was in charge in 2010.
Could the two be reunited in Madrid?
