The Belgian has been ruled out with a broken thumb in recent weeks.
Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho could bring Belgian international goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois back into the first team for this weekend’s League Cup semi-final against Liverpool, report the Guardian, despite the impressive performances of Petr Cech whilst his teammate has been ruled out of action with a broken thumb.

Cech has kept three clean sheets during Courtois’ enforced spell on the sidelines with an injury picked up in the New Year’s Day defeat to Tottenham Hotspur.
But it is clear that he is now seen as an understudy to Cech, and could find himself back on the bench for the huge clash against Brendan Rodgers’ side.
The Blues are once again in domestic cup action at the weekend, however, with League One Bradford City visiting Stamford Bridge – and Cech could return to between the sticks for that particular clash.
