Chelsea look set to strenghten its defence after completing a £17.6m deal for Augsburg defender Baba Rahman, according to The Metro.
The Blues have been keen on adding a left-back to their squad since Filipe Luis left for Atletico Madrid after one season at Stamford Bridge.
Rahman experienced a breakout season with Augsburg, which allowed the Bundesliga club to cash in on a much bigger deal after previously being bought for £2.5m.
The 21-year-old may not be the only new signing for Chelsea this summer, with the London club keen to snare the signature of Everton defender Baba Rahman.
Despite the Ghana international being set to join the Blues, they may still be willing to break the bank for their prime target.
Everton are reportedly willing to sell their young defender for £34m, and Chelsea are understood to be set to make a third offer.
It remains to be seen what sort of role Rahman will have with the team due to the strong performances of first-choice left-back Cesar Azpilicueta.
