Louis van Gaal has reportedly bragged that he can bring Gareth Bale to Manchester United in the future.
Spanish World Cup winner Pedro joined Premier League rivals Chelsea from Barcelona yesterday in a surprise transfer twist, having been heavily tipped to make the move to Old Trafford.
The Dutchman is still desperate to add “speed and creativity” to his United attack, and the Daily Express understands that Real Madrid superstar Bale would be his ideal signing.

And the Daily Mail claim that the Red Devils boss has told friends this week that he believes he can persuade the Welshman to leave the La Liga giants at some point down the line.
Former Tottenham Hotspur winger Bale is a long-term United target and has recently been linked with a return to the Premier League amid reports that he is unsettled in Spain.
Real’s fans made Bale a scapegoat for the club’s failure to win a trophy last season, and he was booed by some sections of the Bernabeu in Madrid’s friendly with Galatasaray on Tuesday.
Bale, now 26, became the world’s most expensive player when he cost Real £86m from Spurs in 2013.
