The Blues are willing to spend big for Pogba.
Chelsea’s reported interest in signing French starlet Paul Pogba from Juventus could hurt Manchester United’s pursuit of Arturo Vidal quite badly, reports the Daily Express.
The Blues are willing to spend around £60 million for Pogba, and Juve would not want to sell both their key midfielders in Pogba and Vidal.
Although the older Vidal may have been the obvious choice to let go of for the Old Lady, Chelsea’s willingness to pay big for the former United youngster, Pogba, could tempt La Bianconeri.
United are ready to match Vidal’s £40 million price tag though and are hoping to seal the deal for the Chilean before the West Londoners get to Pogba.
It sets up an interesting transfer situation among the three European giants, and only time will tell how the transfer dealings will pan out.
Juventus are in dire need of money after having agreed to sign Alvaro Morata from Real Madrid, and any substantial offer from either the Red Devils or Chelsea could be hard to ignore for the Italian champions.
