Chelsea star Eden Hazard has admitted that his performances have been “less good” at the start of this season.
The 24-year-old winger was the standout player in the Premier League last term and was crowned PFA Player of the Year as the Blues won the title.
However, he is yet to score this season, having netted 19 in total last campaign, as Chelsea have picked up just four points from as many matches.
And the Belgian believes that his form is suffering because the team are suffering.
He told L’Equipe: “I accept that. You don’t need to know a lot of about football to compare what I was doing last year to what I am doing this season. I am less good. It is more a team problem that individual.
“We are professionals, we knew that this season would be more difficult. We are reigning champions.
“It is complicated because everyone wants to beat you. But we have, in the squad, the qualities to bounce back.”
Chelsea have lost to Manchester City and Crystal Palace, drawn with Swansea City and beaten West Bromwich Albion so far this season.
