Ashley Cole has announced that he is set to leave Chelsea this summer after failing to agree an extension to his contract.
The Blues left back, who lost his place in the team to Cesar Azpilicueta this term, has been at Stamford Bridge for the last eight years after signing from Arsenal in 2008.
As well as three Barclays Premier League titles, UEFA Champions League and Europa League, Capital One Cup and Community Shield, no player has ever won more FA Cups than Cole’s seven, and despite a rueful goodbye to Chelsea fans, his desire to remain at the highest level remains clear.
I am weighing up my options for playing next season with my agent and sadly it does not look like chelsea will be one of them.
