Blues midfielder reveals joy at new role.
Chelsea star Cesc Fabregas admits he enjoyed the chance to play for Spain last week without Xavi, Andres Iniesta and Xabi Alonso also in the side, according to El Pais.

The Spaniard endured a difficult run of form for his old club Barcelona last season, and was often played out of position prior to his move to Chelsea to accommodate his team-mates Xavi and Iniesta.
However, the former Arsenal playmaker is now being given more of a chance to shine for his national side as well as at club level, with Xavi and Alonso recently announcing their retirement from the national side.
Iniesta did not feature in the recent friendly defeat to France, and Fabregas was pleased to be able to take more responsibility in his new role in the team.
