Nearly forgotten winger has suitors in Germany.
Chelsea’s forgotten winger Marko Marin could be at the end of his disaster spell at the club this summer as German side Eintracht Frankfurt reportedly want him back in the Bundesliga, according to ESPN.
The 25-year-old spent the whole of last season on-loan at Europa League winners Sevilla, but is now set to return to Stamford Bridge before a decision is made on his future.
Marin’s short stint as a Chelsea player was marred by injuries and many believe that he could not achieve his full potential at the club due to the same reason.
The Blues have several options in midfield though, and there doesn’t seem to be a way back into the West Londoners’ first team for the German international, who joined Chelsea in 2012.
Speaking about his future, Marin was quoted saying, “I’ll start there in July. Let’s see what happens. There are enquiries from the Bundesliga.”
Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho would want to sell the talented winger for the maximum possible fee before Marin’s market value falls further.
