Chelsea are reportedly hoping to sign Real Madrid left-back Fabio Coentrao this summer as he looks likely to quit the club at the end of the season, according to CaughtOffside.

The Blues could do with more options at left-back after some doubts over the future of Filipe Luis, who has not impressed in his first season at Stamford Bridge following a summer move from Atletico Madrid.
Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho knows Coentrao well from his time in charge at the Bernabeu, and may feel he is a more suitable player to rotate with Cesar Apilicueta on the left-hand side of his back four, particularly if he is available on the cheap at just £15m.
Coentrao has not always been a regular during his time in the Spanish capital, but has faced stiff competition from Brazil star Marcelo in the full-back slot.
Still, the Portuguese international has looked reliable whenever used and not out of place among the big names at Real.
