Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba has become a prime target for Chelsea, but the defending Serie A champions insisted that the French international is not for sale.
Pogba has been linked to Barcelona, but the Daily Star reports that the star midfielder is not aware of an alleged agreement between last season’s UEFA Champions League finalists
“Has a Barca deal been struck in January? I don’t know. For now I’m at Juventus and I’m focused only on them because we haven’t started well,” Pogba said.
The Blues are reportedly ready to splash up to £88m on Pogba, but their efforts were futile as their transfer window turned out to be disappointing as a whole.
Manchester United and Manchester City were also linked to the French midfielder.
Chelsea also made a furious run at Everton defender John Stones, but the Toffees would not budge even an inch as they reportedly rejected four bids from the Blues.
It remains to be seen if Juventus will finally be willing to sell one of its most prized possessions.
