The Pole will not be leaving the German runners-up until next summer.
The ongoing speculation linking Borussia Dortmund striker Robert Lewandowski with Chelsea have been quashed after the Bundesliga club triple the 24-year-old’s pay.
Lewnadowski was thought to be leaving the Westfalenstadion as the Poland international was entering the forward’s final year of his current deal with Dortmund, but the side decided to keep the attacker for one more year and let the Pole leave for free in 12 months time.
Yet with the Blues needing new attacking options, it was thought returning manager Jose Mourinho was going to turn the 50-year-old’s attention to Dortmund.
However, it’s said that after tripling Lewandowski’s wages from £20,000-a-week to £60,000-a-week, the striker will not be leaving this summer.
Lewandowski & BVB have agreed a pay rise for this season. Agent confirms he’s off after that. No chance of him going anywhere this summer

It’s a sweetener for Lewandowski, to ensure he stays motivated & professional. He was only on GBP 20k per week. New deal GBP 60k.

The “Lewandowski going to club XYZ” game has been over since February. Only question was: Bayern this or next season.

Honigstein is a leading German journalist and suggests that Lewandowski will be seeing out the remainder of the Polish forward’s contract and then switching to Bayern Munich.
This means that Mourinho may have to look elsewhere for recruitment up top, with Samuel Eto’o also being touted with a reunion with the ‘Special One.’
