Zouma has been touted by both the Blues and Liverpool.
Saint-Etienne defender Kurt Zouma has been targeted by Chelsea and Liverpool in recent weeks but has ruled out a move to Russian side Anzhi Makhachkala, reports talkSPORT.
The 18-year-old has been grabbing headlines in France for his mature performances in Ligue 1, however he will have done little to endear himself to Anzhi after claiming he knows nothing of the club.
“I’m not up to date. Anzhi? I’ve heard of them but I don’t know who they are exactly.” Zouma was quoted on talkSPORT.
This put down will please fans of Chelsea and Liverpool, although the centre-back’s other recent comments suggest he fancies a move to Stamford Bridge more than Merseyside after stating that being linked with Blues boss Jose Mourinho makes him happy.
Wolfsburg are the other interested side wanting to secure the services of Zouma as the Les Verts starlet attracts more and more interest.
Since breaking into the St Etienne first-team aged just 16 the Frenchman has played 45 times for his club and has also been a regular feature for his country at the current under-20 World Cup in Turkey.
However, at the Blues they already have a long list of talented youngsters waiting to be given their chance in the first team, with Mourinho highlighting Belgian duo Kevin de Bruyne and Romelu Lukaku as two that will get their chance this year.
With players such as Jeffrey Bruma already available in defence in west London – along with stalwarts such as Gary Cahill, David Luiz and John Terry – it could prove very difficult for Zouma to break into the Chelsea starting XI if he made the move to England.
